Country’s first in-mall RC multi-track opens
Robinsons Galleria in Ortigas, Quezon City is holding a three-day competition, Feb. 25–27, to launch the RC Tracks Galleria on the third floor of the mall, beside Comic Odyssey.
The RC Tracks Galleria formally opens with the Year Kick-Off Competition on Feb. 25. The Drift Competition will follow on Feb. 26 then the Rally Club Competition on Feb. 27.
Participants will include renowned RC groups in the Philippines like RC Rally PH, Manila On-Road RC, Philippine RC Drifters, and Meralco RC Club.
All events are open free to spectators, who may bring their own RC car to try out the tracks during contest breaks. After the three-day event, Robinsons Galleria’s newest tracks can be used for free every day during mall hours.
Arlene G. Magtibay, SVP and general manager of Robinsons Malls, says Robinsons wants its customers to have unique experiences to make their mall visit worthwhile and delightful. The RC Tracks at Robinsons Galleria, she adds, aims to promote an active lifestyle and support RC communities looking for a safe and fun venue to pursue their hobbies.
Believed to be the first RC Multi-track inside a mall in the country, RC Tracks Galleria meets the requirements of a professional track so it can be used for practice for big competitions. New and casual racers may also use the tracks.
Other events in the pipeline are RC Rally and RC Drift classes for new racers, and more races throughout the year.
Galleria’s RC Tracks has two kinds of race tracks: a Rally Track for those who feel the need for speed and a Drift Track for those who want to drive in style.
Enthusiasts will soon also be able to borrow RC cars. Access is through the RMalls+ App, where they can claim vouchers for RC Tracks Galleria. The RMalls+ App will also let users enjoy a lot of other exciting perks in Galleria like free parking, free VIP lounge use, exclusive discounts and more.
