New Diabetes and Kidney Care Unit Opens in Tanauan City

Patients with diabetes and kidney-related conditions in Batangas and Southern Luzon need not travel to Manila for treatment.

Healthway Daniel O. Mercado Medical Center in Tanauan City recently opened its Diabetes and Kidney Care Unit (DKU), offering comprehensive care for diabetics and patients with kidney problems.

The DMMC-DKU has a multidisciplinary team to provide screening, diagnosis, treatment, and post-care services guided by evidence-based practices.

Services include specialist consultations, nutrition counseling, diagnostic bundles, and peritoneal dialysis.

Supported by Healthway’s Senior Management and local health authorities, the unit aims to deliver compassionate care and become a beacon of hope for individuals in Southern Luzon facing these health challenges.
