Farmvocacy supports Zambales mango farmers

On the second year of its Farmvocacy initiative, Kenny Rogers Roasters is supporting mango farmers in Zambales, the country’s main source of the tropical fruit.
Through Mango Habanero, Kenny Rogers clients can dine for a cause. With every purchase of the Mango Habanero Solo Plate, the popular roast chicken restaurant chain will donate P1 to the Samahang Magmamanga ng Zambales(SMZ) for the benefit of its members.
The Mango Habanero Farmvocacy aims to help SMZ achieve its goals of promoting Zambales mangoes and assisting its members produce high quality fruits for export and the local market. SMZ hopes to have a common label and packaging for Zambales mangoes.
The initiative is expected to help the federation manage the supply of the province’s mangoes and continually improve production by sharing best practices among members and affiliates.
Kenny Rogers Roasters initiated Farmvocacy to help uplift the lives of Filipino farmers, whose hard work and dedication are rarely recognized and appreciated. Farmers are among the most undervalued members of society, earning very little for their labor and getting limited support.
Through Farmvocacy, every purchase of a selected menu offering at Kenny Rogers provides support to local farmers. The campaign strengthens the brand’s goal of offering delicious and healthy meals while recognizing the importance of farmers in the food industry.
