10 candidates running for president, 9 for vice-president, 64 for senator

MANILA, Philippines — Vice-President Leni Robredo leads 10 candidates for president in the official ballot to be printed starting today, January 20, according to the Commission on Elections (Comelec). 

Nine candidates for vice-president, 64 for senator and 177 party list groups will also be in the official ballot, which would have the names printed back-to-back and could be 24 to 29 inches long. 

Former Senator Ferdinand Marcos, Jr. will be in the official ballot despite the pending disqualification case against him over his tax offense conviction in 1995. 

The campaign period for national candidates will begin on February 8. The election is scheduled for May 9. 

The candidates for President, in alphabetical order, are:
